1st Annual-Seasonal Summer/Winter Fashion Blog

Alright folks, it's finally here. The 1st Annual-Seasonal Fashion Blog. I gave a bit of fashion advice a couple weeks back, and in the weeks following I have been getting hundreds of emails, letters, and phone calls and the overwhelming response is "We want more fashion advice from you Bryant". I enlisted the help of Southern California native and fashion aficionado Adam Hayward and he really has some fantastic styles to highlight. So lets go ahead and get this started.

Colors; White is right for girls and guys this season. For guys the white jeans/white loafers combo is still a great choice and if you add a white v-neck or long sleeve button up to the combo you should be unstoppable. For girls bleached/stonewashed white jeans/cutoffs will do the trick all day long. Denim has also made the comeback. Denim long sleeve button-ups, Jean Jackets, and Jean shorts, etc.

Hairstyles; Guys: The Eurotrash rat-tail is still thriving in the fashion epicenters of the United States. Girls: Bangs are trendy. Side pony tails are still extremely popular and hott everywhere in the world, as always.

Looking trashy and haggard is also extremely fashionable right now. The more trashy the better. Ripped jeans and shirts, worn down shoes, messy hair, the whole package. It's important with this one to remember that the fad here is to LOOK trashy. I can tell you from experience that actually BEING trashy isn't nearly as trendy.

Adam Hayward says, "Girls: Wear huge sunglasses that cover most of your face, drop them bangs down over the forehead and purse your lips like a fish when you take a picture" he also adds, "High waisted pants, shorts and one piece top/bottoms are in there like swimwear, squeeze into some daisy dukes and droop a wavy pancho style shirt on top and you're in business this summer. Men love the 80's high waist, and they also loved the free tops of the 60's and 70's, so head on out to your local boutique and get a the best of both worlds to impress that stubborn tom." I'm not too keen on the huge sunglasses part, i'm very unsure if they are still popular or not, but everything else on that list is a definite GO!

As far as hats go...The beanie-on-the-back-of-the-head style turned 2 years old this year and guess what.... it's still popular. HOWEVER, if your beanie is still in the wash and your about to hit the town.... 1st off: major bummer dude, you've gotta plan these things better. 2nd off: you MAY substitute it for a Fedora hat (With or without the feather in the side) ASSUMING that it is either black or grey. Stripes are desperate and if you have a plaid fedora, you can stop reading this blog now.

Shoes: Plain old plimsoll style shoes are still the go-to footwear for both guys and girls. If you're not sure about what you want, just go to your nearest Urban Outfitters (USA)/General Pants Co. (Aus) and walk up to the first employee you see and say "fix me up" ........believe me, they have been trained to take care of you and you will most likely walk out of that store with some sort of v-neck/cut-offs combo. ....or they might just give you the plaid shirt/rolled-ups look. ....but now that i think about it, they could also give you the black on black jeans/leather jacket fit. Irregardless, there will still be a VERY good chance that someone else will own the exact same thing, so not to worry, It is popular.

Surprisingly enough, being yourself has also become very popular. This is where it gets confusing people. Its hard to tell who is being their self and who is being someone else whom they saw and liked better than their self. You just have to go off of pure instinct in this situation. But in either case, be extremely careful. There is nothing more dangerous than one human being, being another human being.

Special Thanks to Adam Hayward for his collaboration on this blog. He has a video out. You can see a trailer and buy it here. www.skimonline.com/2010/05/adam-haywards-new-dvd-the-box-now-on-pre-sale

Until next time...Stay sweet :-)

Dragons

I was on the bus home last night and 3 drunk guys in their 20's stumbled on. They hungout near the front until the redheaded one saw a guy he knew from school who was sitting next to me. He came to the back sat down next to us and started talking to the guy next to me. The conversation was mostly the awkward "How've you been" "What are you studying" and neither of them seemed really into it. But then something magical happened. The red-headed drunk took off his jacket, pulled up his sleeve, and showcased his first tattoo; A giant dragon. That ran all the way from his neck, down to his arm. The dragons tail moved when he flexed.

A bucket of stuff

I know I promised some photos last post and I was a liar because I never put any up so here are some pictures i personally took with my very own camera:

Its been at least one minute since my last update. Since then i've got a job at a pizza place (think the exact opposite of Pajanos and you've got it. They make pizzas with lamb and duck on them) so i'm working a bit, and when i'm not there i'm either cruisin the beach lookin for babes, or chillen in the garage liftin weights. But for real Trav and I have been checking out the sites and sounds of Sydney. Along with M.Gardner(cr8zy cute), Elle Green(hellintokyo.blogspot.com), and others. I'm still not sure how long i'll be here, but i AM sure its going to be longer than I expected. I'm not 100% sure on what i'm doing after either but as of now it looks like i'll make my way up to Singapore and get my Malaysia on and then do Thailand Vietnam Cambodia Laos and wherever else. But now i've got some stuff to say to a couple of people (in no particular order):

Brock-Italy. Get Ready you slacker.
Kyle D. - I miss you. The verse you wrote in the front of my bible is still a constant encouragement.
Danielle M. - Miss you big time. Paint me something fabulous
Dan Graves- Skype?
Cruddy Kentchick- Tell granny i said wuddup
Alex Burnett- Happy Birthday you grown up faggot, sorry i couldn't be there for the big day. I love you.
Ben lucas - get over here. i dare you.
Zack Hoag - All i wanna do is skim, skim, skim, skim....and see you (kisses)
Brice - Ditch your job and come on a trip with me. theres no future for you at the village.
Kyle F - If its the land of the free and home of the brave, how come there are so many people that aren't that brave lol

Thats all for now party people. Miss you guys all

Bryant

P.S. I know this isn't a fashion blog but i gotta say it.....to all my shawtays out there. .....black tights are totally in right now i think. so dress accordingly.

Easter time :-)

Well I have been in Australia for just over two weeks and its been a lot of fun so far. I'm staying with my friend Matt and his family in the Northern beaches area of Sydney about an hour from the city center. It's cool because it's far enough away from the city so that its not tourists everywhere but its close enough that I can take a quick bus or ferry ride into the city whenever.. and if you know me, you know i'm all about ferries. A couple days after I got here Matt took me to play a game called Squash at a rec league of some sort. These dudes took squash really seriously. And I do not. I got beat like I stole something. Two days later I went to a Rugby team training, I made it through the entire training without anyone noticing I was American....until they asked me what position I played. I said I didn't know, and we all had a good laugh. ....well.... they did at least. Since then I have just been exploring, hanging out with my good friend Travis Stone and meeting some new people. Went to the Sydney Entertainment Center for Hillsong's Easter service last night and they were doing an art/film festival type of thing... tons of cool artwork and a few good short films as well. They did an Arcade Fire cover that i'll try to post if I can. Other than that I've just been hanging out, relaxing, and totally getting my job hunt on. I hope everyone's Easter went well and that you remember that we wouldn't have an Easter if God hadn't sent His son to this earth to pay the price for our sins.

So that is what has been going on over my past few weeks, I'll post some pictures when I get a chance so check back in over the next few days!

Bryant!

A wizard in Oz

Well...i'm in Australia. I had a ton of fun in San Fran for the rest of my time there. A HUGE thanks to Alex and Destini for being 2 of the best hosts a boy could ask for :) I left SF Fri afternoon and flew to LA where I was supposed to meet up with Adam Hayward however he ditched me for a girl (predictable) ... I just hope things work out and they end up getting married like he was talking about. Caught my flight from LA to Sydney Fri night and after a 14 hour flight and a stop in New Zealand I was in Australia on Sunday morning their time. Landed and came to the place i'm staying and then went down to Bondi Beach to meet up with Travis Stone in the afternoon. Haven't really got any pictures yet but i'll put something up when I do.
